Autocomplete does not work in XML files in a specific hierarchy

In particular, the hierarchy of XML nodes, for example. DrawerLayout-> RelativeLayout-> AutoComplete ImageButton is not working properly. The list of offers contains invalid items. For instance. android:src not displayed inside ImageButton while it should be.

Invalid offers: ok

On the other hand, if the hierarchy is RelativeLayout-> RelativeLayout-> ImageButton, then everything is fine.

Valid offers: not ok

I already tried:

  • reopening the xml file - no effect
  • re-design - no effect
  • restart eclipse - no effect

If the internal RelativeLayout is moved to another XML file and included via <include layout="@layout/inner"/> , then autocomplete works. But this is a dirty workaround, not a real solution. Therefore, I do not accept this answer.
