You can reset use the simulator with Reset Content and Settings...

Sometimes a simulator can be hung without any obvious reason. Xcode shows on the status display that the application is running.

If this happens, click the home button of the simulator, and then click the application icon again. Then the application will appear again, and everything will be visible if you stop the application or the debugger.

In some cases, when clicking Reset Content and Settings... does not work, this may be due to the fact that the screen is set to Default . That was in my case.

If this is the case (for those who may have the same problem), just click on an empty area of the displayed storyboard screen and switch the background from Default to something else, for example, White for example:

Change Background to this:

For this:

I initially made it unnecessary. Link to the button output in the internal view [inside the main view] to the main view. Whenever I made changes to the storyboard, the β€œmain view” [not the entire screen] displayed a black screen. After removing the link to the button, it worked correctly.

I am in the training stage, tried to help.

Solution 1: Quit simulator then clear Xcode (clean and clean build folder) and then run again.

Solution 2 (recommended): go to iOS Simulator Reset Content and Settings...

Step 1

A message appears with the message 'Are you sure you want to reset the iOS Simulator content and settings?'

Step 2

Choose Reset . Please note that after you post the content for the simulator reset, the entire application installed on the simulator will be deleted and it will reset to the original settings.

Try reset as described above: (see Reset Contents and Settings ... )

If this still did not help try to scale from the simulator menu;

select Windows ---> scale β†’% 25 or% 33, etc.
