I do not see that this is really a question for StackOverflow, but I will answer it anyway.
I think that writing on the wall is clear: NPAPI plugins go away . This seems unusually short-sighted to me, because those who made this decision did not give us any solutions that could solve most of the problems that are currently being solved with FireBreath. Some of these problems, I do not believe that there is a reasonable solution; others have several possibilities, but we need to brainstorm solutions.
Over the next few weeks (and possibly more) we will discuss opportunities, and assuming that the community wants to help, we will build a solution that will bridge the widest possible gap.
I am not yet ready to reflect in this audience on how this will look, but we have some ideas.
