Intel recently launched the open source Beignet project , which is specific for Linux. They use the Mesa infrastructure and LLVM/Clang to implement OpenCL . Although not all features have been implemented yet, it is being developed in a fast phase . He currently runs on Ivy-bridge and Haswell GPUs.

Edit: As of 2015, support for OpenCL 1.2 in September is now complete.

In addition, supported goals are listed in the wiki :

Supported Goals

  • 3rd Generation Intel Core Processors
  • Intel Platforms "Bay Trail" with Intel HD Graphics.
  • 4th Generation Intel Core Processors "Haswell"
  • 5th Generation Intel Core Broadwell Processors.

No, not for the GPU. And according to this topic ( http://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/topic/402118 ) Intel will not tell us when or when they will release such a thing.

The Intel OpenCL SDK only works with processors and Xeon Phi right now. And for the CPU, you can try the AMD SDK even for Intel processors. Now I run the benchmark and it seems faster. Also has the best support for free tools (CodeXL).
