For debugging purposes, when I definitely need an image (and usually can't quickly view it), I can see it using the following template:
CGImageRef imageRef = image.CGImage; CGImageRelease(imageRef);
Then I need to take a quick look at imageRef. Remember to delete this line of code when you catch the error, as it eats the deviceβs resources and is a backup :)
BTW: Tommie's solution did not help me.
