Cannot find inetmgr on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard

I recently installed Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard in a virtual machine. I checked by making localhost in the browser, and also created a folder and tested it by reference. It is working fine. Now I wanted to add the PHP extension in IIS7, which says that I need to open the IIS manager, which I see neither in the “Administrative Tool” of the control panel, nor in the command line using “inetmgr”.

I had the same problem and was solved: In the server manager (open "Administration"), expand "Roles", click "Web Server". Then go to the Role Services section and click Add Role Service. From there you can click the "Management Tools" section. Only a console is required.

Make sure you install Management Tools for IIS. This is a server feature called the IIS Management Console.

Make sure you have the correct roles for the Windows server installed. Also, make sure that you have installed the management console to install IIS.

The following is a useful Microsoft tutorial:

I had the same problem, http://localhost worked, but I couldn’t get into IIS Manager. The IIS Management Console is installed and it works!
