Eclipse changes file mode from 644 to 755 to all files that it affects

I use Eclipse under Win7, editing files that are shared with VMware Ubuntu VirtualBox over vboxsf. Files were originally created with 644 file mode, but Eclipse changes the files to 755 (even those that I haven't edited).

How can I prevent Eclipse from changing file permissions in my repository?
