Removing code in Visual Studio

I finally joined the 21st century and got a second monitor. I can cheerfully unlock all the side windows (Solution Explorer, ToolBox, etc.) and use them anywhere I go on any monitor. I cannot figure out how to unpin the code window. Is it possible? (I am using vs2008).

Just for you (VS2010) ;-p

Multi monitor bliss

The multimonitor is the key functionality of the new vs 2010, as was requested by many developers.

There is actually a way to do this.
You just need to install a free add-on from Exact Magic named StudioTools
It has this feature called "Tear Off Editor Window".
You simply activate the tab that you want to tear off, and from the StudioTools manu select "Break Editor".

I also highly recommend that you check out the rest of the features, especially the β€œSmart Goto”, which chips!

You can resize Visual Studio to cover both monitors, then right-click the code window and select "New Group of Vertical Tabs"
