Can you simultaneously save / view video file and sensor data

I am very new to the Java programming language, and I was wondering if I was going to collect sesnor data along with the video, I could save both datasets and then open both datasets for viewing them at the same time.

I collect pressure data and a video of what causes the pressure to change. I hope to display a graph of data and video during data collection. I want to know if I can save both datasets and then be able to reopen both datasets and view them next to each other to see when the pressure has increased and visually see what caused the pressure to increase.

Yes it is possible. You will need to capture video in one stream, as well as register data in another (saving sensors and time stamps). Keep in mind that as soon as you manage to save data (from both streams), you will need to perform some synchronization between them. With some pre-processing, you will need to restore the registered data corresponding to the time of each video card. Once this is done, you can play your video along with the synchronized sensor data that was collected with it.

I was looking for something similar, and I found this:

https://github.com/e-lab/VideoSensors

An application that records video and motion data from an Android smartphone at the same time. The application allows you to choose the video quality and speed at which data is saved. It can be used to record video and accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, GPS data at the same time

I don't know if this works ... seems a little dead.
