How to download and install .ipa outside the App Store with .plist

Today I discovered an application.

This application is not available in the App Store, if I want to try this, I just need to click on the link from my iPhone:

ITMS services: // action = download-manifest & URL = HTTP: //*********.s3.amazonaws.com/********-ios.plist

And the application is installed on my home page.

What it is?

What does this have to do with a training profile or certificates?

This is just a way to distribute a beta application using your distribution profile, but without sending it to Apple.

.plist is just a link to where the .ipa (application) is stored.
