EzPublish does not generate CSS cache (php 5.4 incompatibility?)

Question

We have a site that runs on the Debian Squeeze host (PHP 5.3.3) and should be duplicated on Debian Squeeze (PHP 5.4.4).

In the new installation, we are faced with the problem that the style cache is not generated. that is, the /var/www/example.com/web/var/example_website/cache/public/stylesheets folder is not created. When we completely delete this cache folder, a structure will be created, but there are no stylesheets.

Is there a general compatibility issue with PHP 5.4?

How can this be debugged?

eZ Publish is compatible with php 5.4 from version 2012.1 up.
