PostScript source interpreter

Question

I am looking for a simple PostScript interpreter to read. What open PostScript interpreters exist?

I know about Ghostscript as well as xpost . Oh, I just found ralpage , but it does not compile out of the box in modern compilers.

I’m not sure that there are others ... No one has recently written a PostScript interpreter, and most of the old ones will disappear in the fog of history.
