Turn on SD card during USB debugging?

I am developing a phone application and I am testing it using Droid RAZR with OS version 4.1.2.

I need a phone to be able to use its SD card, and don’t let the computer use the USB connection as a “mass storage”, which forces it to capture the SD card (it can only be installed on my phone or computer, not both).

Previously, you could connect to the computer in the "Charging Only" mode, which would save the SD card with the phone, but this no longer looks like an option. There is only Mass Storage (the computer uses an SD card), Media Device (the same story) and Camera (also there).

Is there any other option? Perhaps somehow disconnect the mass storage from the PC, but save USB debugging?

Take a look at this topic here . As indicated there:

Then enable USB debugging by checking the "USB Debugging" item.

Finally - and this is the strangest - you need to return to the screen, to the settings and click the Storage item. At the top right of the screen, there are three tiny squares that represent a jelly Bean way to execute a context menu. Click on it, and a small “USB computer“ Connection. ”Click on it. You are now on a new screen with two“ Connect As ”options.

Check "Camera". Yes, since USB debugging requires the use of a camera (no, not really). This is just a requirement. Something about a communication protocol or file transfer encoding or something else. I do not do it.
