"Non-progressive address" with exim4

I am using exim4. I have a Wordpress installation with a contact form. My name is -f - mydomain.com.

The form sends an email to info@mydomain.com. However, it never reaches my "offsite". How can I configure this so that the message does not get stuck on the web server?

Exim should send (route) email to an email address outside the site info@mydomain.com. When I send, for example, gmail to that address, it is immediately delivered.

I followed this guide: https://library.linode.com/email/exim/send-only-mta-debian-6-squeeze , but this did not help with this problem.

Have you tried this from your server

echo "test mail." | mail -s Test name@mydomain.com

Also make sure your hostname is a fully qualified domain.

try

host name

hostname -i

the host name must correctly or correctly indicate the IP address specified by the -i host (primary IP address)

Also check that the MX record is mydomain.com and make sure it uses the local mail server.
