Capture Raw Signal from a Wi-Fi card as you will have a sound card

Is it possible to capture a raw signal from a WiFi card in the same way as you can capture a signal from a sound card? (I already found the code for working with a sound card and for drawing spectrograms) I am interested because it will create a cool radio project. I would prefer a solution that goes well with .net (VB or C #).

My main goal is to capture the surrounding radio waves and create a primal “telescope”. Using embedded computer hardware is the easiest way to accomplish this. If you have other suggestions on how to achieve this goal in a different way, send it also as an answer.

Take a look at Software Defined Radio. Usually this is either electronic kits or rather expensive equipment. You still need an antenna.
