How to filter Facebook events by country in Graph API

Question

I am trying to search for public events on Facebook using the Graph API.

http://graph.facebook.com/search?q=term&type=event

I noticed that most of the results do not matter. For example, I am in the UK and have search results that occur in Asia or America. How can I get only events from the UK? I was thinking about using a time zone, but I'm not sure how to do it.
