What exactly does the Abandon Change button in gerrit do?

This button is located next to the Browse button. I did not find any documentation that could help me. I have many questions regarding a button like this: can I click to review one fixer, then another, and then discard the first and send the second? We use Git in our project.

There is some documentation regarding the failure option for verifying commands.

But essentially a refusal to reject the change, so it can no longer be tied to a branch if it is not restored.

This change will no longer be considered an open review when it is rolled back.

It's impossible. After you have an abandoned commit, you must remove the dependency of future commits on it. Here's an answer that can tell you how to do this.
