Auto-scaling Google Cloud Messaging server whitelist IP

I am migrating an AWS beanstalk app to use server-side GCM to update Android. However, when I configure the server key, it asks me for a set of whitelisted IP addresses.

My question is: how does my application work under AWS auto-scaling system, how does the whitelist work? Do I have to manually enter the IP addresses of all EC2 instances?

You do not need to fill out a set of whitelisted IP addresses. It's not obligatory.

If you know all the potential IP addresses your server can run on, you can specify a list of IP addresses or subnets (for example, 192.168.12.0/23). Otherwise, keep it blank.

From the Googles documentation, I believe you can do this too:

Use the CIDR range 0.0.0.0/0, which allows you to connect all external IP addresses.
