Get the maximum value of non-hidden cells

I have a table with 20 rows, and the table does not hide the number of rows indicated in the cell above my table. so if i put 5 in a cell, 5 of the 20 rows will be hidden. So, now I would like to get a MAX of 5 cells, which are now not hidden. How can I do it?

=SUBTOTAL(104,RANGE)

104 will give you the maximum number of unclosed cells. If you replace 104 with 4, it will work like a regular MAX function IF you don't filter rows using the built-in Excel spreadsheet function.

Can

 =SUBTOTAL(104,your_range)
