Google TV AVD Image Emulator

Hi, I am trying to configure google tv emulator on my windows computer. I can install googleTV Adon avilable in api level 13

But when I try to create an AVD, it causes an error. Please install intelx86. But the X86 System image is not available in api 13. Can someone help me.

The solution is to create avd with the command line.

android create avd -n GoogleTV -t 11

Where 11 is the api id. On your system, this will be different from mine, so first issue comamnd

 android list target

In my case it was

... id: 11 or "Google Inc .: Google TV Addon: 12" Name: Google TV Addon ....

For convenience in linux you can use

 android list target | grep TV -B 2

Launch the Android SDK Manager and set the desired image.

I followed above, but none of them work for me, still getting the same error. this happens on my windows i5 machine.

Can someone tell me, can someone install AVD for Google-TV on a Windows machine ..

  • Download Google TV Addon API-13
  • Download Android 2.3.3 Image of the Intel x86 atom system.
  • Enter the path installed by the Android SDK. Do the following:
    • Copy .. \ sdk \ system-images \ android-10 \ x86 to .. \ sdk \ system-images \ android-13 \ x86
    • Change sdk \ system-images \ android-13 \ x86 \ source.properties Pkg.Desc = Android SDK Platform 3.2 Pkg.Revision = 1 AndroidVersion.ApiLevel = 13
  • Reboot the AVD manager.
  • Create an AVD by following Google TV docs.

The emulator can turn on. But productivity is so poor. It is always ANR and strength is near. I suggest you not to develop on it.
