Sublime text 2 search does not work

I have ST2 installed on Win7, and for some reason the global "Find in Files" (ctrl + shift + f) stops working (it worked before). Now all I get is:

Search 0 files for "capbSectionac"

0 corresponds to 0 files

A regular search in the current file that opens will work correctly.

I tried reinstalling it, but to no avail :(

Has anyone come across this? Any solution?

Notice that he says "Search 0 files".

In the second field "Where:" make sure that you do not have the selected folder. You should see the placeholder text "Open Files and Folders", which means that it will search in the whole project. If you do not see this placeholder, even if the Where field is empty, try clicking the "..." button, and then click "Clear."

I had the same problem. At some point, I noticed that the Where: field (below Find: does not display the placeholder text ("Open files and folders"), as expected when it is empty. It turns out that the Where: field was not empty, and therefore the search was like never before. When I cleared this field, the search worked again.

I have a problem with Unbuntu. The solution I found is to just delete the folder

 /home/<user>/.config/sublime-text-2/Packages/User/Package Control.cache

I think this happens because I have file synchronization on save, but I can’t be sure.

Press ctrl F. then on the left side of the search bar, turn on Wrap. with inverted reload icon

I am new to Sublime Text 3, so when I first tried using Find In Files (shift + command + y), it gave nothing but 0 search results.

I picked up Find (command + f), and I noticed a lot of spaces before my search term.

I cleared these extra spaces and left my search query. Brough back-in Find In Files and the search worked correctly.
