Schemes that don’t appear on Google Now or Google Search

I use the Script Tutorial app to send emails to my Gmail account. I sent emails with various schemes to see if they appeared in other Google products. At the bottom of this page and this page on Google Now, you should see diagrams such as Flights and Events and Google search results.

I am using cut-paste examples from the Google Schema documentation for the following types ...

  • Developments
  • Flights
  • Restaurant Reservation

However, I can’t get them to appear on Google Now and Google Search.

Emails appear in Gmail. If I look at the source of the letter, I can confirm that the schema information exists in the HTML source. I am sending an email to my own gmail account (as per the App Script tutorial).

I confirmed that the sample Script application is configured correctly, as I can get actions to appear in Gmail if I embed the Action schema in email. However, I was hoping to check out other integration schemes and cross-products.

Can someone please enlighten me on where I might be wrong. Has anyone been able to get cross-product schemas? Are there any restrictions on using this cross-production feature, such as language or location restrictions? (I could not find anything to suggest this, but would it not be surprising if it were limited to American / English or something else?)

The markup on the "Attachment Schemes in Email Messages" page does not include any actions, and Gmail does not currently display special card events, so why don't you see anything when you receive this message.

Try using the Apps Script tutorial below to get an easy way to send emails using schemes:

Key information provided via email markup should appear on Google Now, in search, and now in your inbox. As mentioned earlier, Gmail only supports a subset of (actions). Check out the updated docs for launching Inbox.

More importantly, make sure you check your markup using these developer tools before sending it to yourself. (BTW, in my own testing, I found it fairly easy to “break” the markup with small syntax errors.) If this is not confirmed, you will receive an email, but markup improvements will not be displayed.
