Internet Delay: What PENDING and FROM CACHE Mean on the Chrome Developer Tools Tab

I would like to confirm whether I understand this correctly or not. I am having serious problems with the delay in entering "google.com" in the Chrome address bar, but not when I do the same in other browsers. I also downloaded Canary and have the same problem. I think other browsers can rewrite the client side of the URL, avoiding the first two errors 301 and 302. Credible?

Does β€œpending” mean the request is not yet satisfied? And does "(from the cache") mean that the browser is looking at my computer for a file?

It took 21 seconds to return a 301 error for the request "google.com", and then another 19 seconds to return 302 and the final redirect to the full URL. Does this mean that the server (s) handling such requests are really overloaded?

And why have these images taken so long? 59 seconds and still expected?

This is usually what it means:

  • PENDING: The file has not yet been downloaded from the network, and Chrome makes a request and tries to download it.
  • FROM CACHE: the file was downloaded and cached from a previous visit to this page, and Chrome downloaded it from the cache

Is this issue fixed? Was it for one specific day - when did Google go downstairs? Most downloads, especially for the Google homepage, should be pretty fast.
