How to start Subversion connection discovery after installing a plugin in Eclipse?

I manually installed Eclipse Juno Java EE on my Ubuntu 12.04, inside the /usr/lib folder, and then started creating a link to the eclipse executable in << 22> and finally successfully launched the program.

After installing the Subversive module, the prompt asked me to restart Eclipse, which I did, since I know that it is important to install the connectors immediately. However, with this setting, I did not get a Subversion connection detection window at startup and no errors in the error log view.

Now I have the Subversive plugin installed correctly, but no connector is installed, and I seem to be unable to find a way to open the connection discovery window.

I would not want to use backup solutions (for example, manually installing connectors from repositories), but to solve this problem and get the usual procedure, since this is an installation that I will have to deal with for a while, and I feel this problem is a symptom of something wrong in my setup.

Create a fictitious project, use the command โ†’ Share, select SVN. A dialog should appear automatically.

Alternatively, install the connectors without the discovery dialog, as described in several other SO issues, such as: Subversive SVN Connectors are not displayed in eclipse juno . You must ensure that the update site matches your version of eclipse.

At least in my Eclipse (4.5), on the Connectors tab, there is a Get Connectors button if I visit Window / Preferences / Team / SVN. This button did the trick for me.

You will receive Connector Subversion discovery from Windows-Preference-Team-SVN -Svn Connector - Click Get Connection
