Voice commands for Huawei GSM / UMTS USB devices?

I am trying to figure out how to use voice functions using the HUAWEI E173 key on Linux.

My key is on (voice works with Windows application). Can I check voice activation in linux using AT ^ CVOICE? command. This tells me how to organize a raw audio stream.

From the question How to use the Voice API to make calls using Huawei 3g mods? I understand that the idea is to send commands to ttyUSB2 when transferring the original audio data to ttyUSB1.

I also understand that the user https://stackoverflow.com/users/1043421/sai-chaitanya has a voice working in Ubuntu so that it really is the right approach.

It is completely incomprehensible to me how to dial voice calls, check if someone is calling and answer voice calls.

Can someone point out some hint or some pointer to this?

To do this, you need to use AT commands on the same interface as the one you entered AT ^ CVOICE? command.

For example, by typing a certain number ([phone] in this case):

ATD+12345678888; 

You see an incoming call on the terminal with the indication “ring” or “RINGING”. You can use “ATH” to hang or “ATA” to respond.
