How to get all archive cards on the board, drop the Trello API?

The following question was asked on the Trello API board. I thought I would add it here.

How can I get all archive cards on the board?

You can achieve this by using the [filter] option on the endpoint of the board:

/1/boards/[boardId]/cards?filter=closed&key=[your appKey]

This is the closed=true part that does the trick. It directs the API only to return cards that have been archived. I am sure that it includes maps in archived lists, but I am not 100% sure.
