Cannot pair / pair with Android devices on the same network

I have a nexus 7 running on CM10.1. For some reason, I can't reach it from my laptop on the same Wi-Fi network. I can not ping in any direction. Previously, I could only punch one way.

Just tried the sensation in my htc warehouse and didn’t have the same problem. In addition, communication and htc cannot reach each other.

I had problems with other Android devices, in the past I was developing an application, and I could not establish a socket connection from the Android device to my computer. As soon as I was able to successfully ping a laptop, my device worked.

This is not permanent, in the past I was busy, in the end they talked, but at that time there was no uniform solution, I never got into the root cause.

I watched it on two different Wi-Fi networks

Not sure what is going on here; my understanding of networks is not so deep.

My first guess (assuming you are using the correct IP address, firewall conflicts, etc.):

Check the Wi-Fi sleep policy in your device’s WiFi settings. You must set it to Never, and then try ping again.

How you find this option on your Android device:

Settings β†’ Wireless and Network Settings β†’ Wi-Fi Settings β†’ Press the menu button β†’ Advanced β†’ Wi-Fi sleep policy
