What is the syntax of the comment in the .rgs file

For reasons that I will not enter, I automatically generate a load of .rgs files for the Visual Studio 2008 ATL project. I would like to be able to put a comment in each .rgs file, indicating that it was automatically generated, and when, but I can’t find out what the comment syntax is for the .rgs file, if there really is one. I tried //;;; REM and even #, but none of these work. There seems to be a lack of documentation available for the .rgs file format. Any suggestions anyone?
