Good, although I do not agree with you because I am a developer, and I really like the part of the design / animation in WPF.
Here are some sample libraries and coding examples for your use:
1) FluidKit (it is in the original form) ..
2) Articles from Sacha Barber (check out the Sacha Barber projects on CodeProject.com .. you will find many interesting customizable controls and animated ones.
3) Dr. WPF is another great contributor. It has several customizable controls and animations.
4) Search for project code
and just in case, when you never used CodeProject / search ..., the link above contains a good number of WPF animation tools / elements and even "tutorials" in case you want to spend some time learning something new.
5) Silverlight Carousel: creating a control Silverlight displays an image in an interactive carousel : a three-dimensional image of a carousel, although the project is designed for Silverlight, but the implementation of the control is almost the same as I suppose.
