CRM 2011 OnPremise - Permissions for Notes / Annotations

Question

Have a seemingly conflicting issue with notes / annotations for contacts / accounts.

These are permissions for the Note object for a specific user role:

Summary:

• Individual creation
• Organizational reading
• Individual record
• No to remove
• BU Add
• BU Add to
• BU Assign
• No to share

I go to the account screen and, as expected, I cannot change the user's note.

I go to the contact screen and I can change the user's note.

Is there any aspect of permissions that I am missing?

What are the Add to privileges in this role for a contact and an account? Since you are trying to add annotation to the contact and account ...

Otherwise, saying: “Apply” priviliges for annotation goes hand in hand with “Append To” priviliges for the entity to which you want to add the annotation, for example, Contact or Account.
