I downloaded the package with the wrong name (typo) at http://hackage.haskell.org/
Hoping not to spoil HackageDB, I wonder if there is any approach for removing this package.
Many thanks for your help.
This is only possible under special circumstances - contact Ross Paterson (a HackageDB supporter) with your request and sufficient identification to confirm that you are the author of the package.
The only way to remove a package from hacking is through the administrator (s). You can send an email and ask to remove the package. But is it worth the trouble? What is terrible if a packet with a sealed name sits on a hack?
