Google Analytics, get annotations from the API

Is there a way to get annotations from Google Analytics through their API. Many searches did not give any documents or solid answers, if this is possible or not.

Has anyone done this or knows the filters / sizes I need to get annotations?

No, by this date there is no way to get annotations from the Google Analytics API.

There is an open problem there.

The problem was discovered in January 2010, and by this date there are no updates or comments from Google.

Google’s internal policy is not to discuss public bugs and new features. We know that they know about this and other shortcomings of the API, and we know that they are working on it, but they will not provide any deadlines, so you should not wait for it in the short term.
