Can I install Xcode 4 from the app store on multiple Mac computers?

Now that Xcode is part of the App Store (I'm not a paid developer yet), I have to pay $ 5 for it, and that's fine. However, I am wondering if I have to pay $ 5 for each of my Mac? Or what if I explode my current Mac and reinstall, do I have to pay for Xcode again?

I think this one will answer your question! :)

Yes. Just launch the App Store app on your second Mac and go to the Shopping tab. You will see a list of applications that you have already purchased, with the Install button next to each - click the button to install on the second Mac.

In the Mac App Store, you can re-download previously purchased applications. Thus, you just need to link your Apple account with the new machine, and then you can download it to this machine at no extra charge.

In accordance with the conditions:
http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html#APPS

"MAC APP STORE PRODUCT RULES

Unless otherwise specified,

(i) You may download and use the application from the Mac App Store ("Mac App Store Product") for personal non-commercial use on any Apple products running Mac OS X ("Mac Computer") that you own or control. "

I just noticed my other applications are available for download from other computers. Therefore, I assume that it will be the same for Xcode 4!

I will confirm as soon as I try.

Yes, you can install the same application on another Mac; I just did it. And if you have already downloaded Install Xcode.app, you can copy this already downloaded file to the applications of another computer, and the Mac App Store will see that it is already installed.

Warning. Do not remove Install Xcode.app or the store will no longer think that you installed it, even if it is.
