Visual Studio License Type / Distribution Channel Discovery

There is a lot of information on the network about how to determine the type and type of a Windows license using the PID (which can be found in the HKLM\SYSTEM\Setup\Pid registry key) and ProductID (which can be found in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion )

However, there is little information on how licensing is used to install other Microsoft products.

Namely, that I need to determine which of them were installed using the MSDN subscription license and which were installed using other types of licenses.

I managed to find information about Office options by analyzing the product GUID (found in the Uninstall branch):

However, all these articles distinguish only these types of release:

In addition, I could not find available information about other products. Namely, Visual Studio ... (this is what interests me the most).

To clarify: I should not get a license key (which I already found several ways to find when searching for the information I need), my interest is solely to determine what type of license was used to install the application.

So, the only way I can do this is to use a tool like magicaljellybeans key finder and then export msdn keys from you and do a comparison.

From the software itself, I’m sure that they are not identified as MSDN versions as such, but it’s a license that activates them, which determines that I’m sure that what you are asking for is not possible because you are describing it without doing a comparison, that means you need a key.

This is especially true since some products in msdn have and use "retail versions" of the software.
