I donβt see the connection between the question and Thread here, but it is a great explanation of why you cannot make MTS User an impersonation user.
These answers are good, but the context of the responses is regardless of whether the user is domain or local.
If the question is that you can have MTSUser as a local account, the answer is yes.
If the question is that this is good practice, the answer is no, since it does not help in maintaining the platform, especially in the corporate environment, because there are reasons for the service, reasons for the business process.
However, in the context of the scenario in which the question is asked, and if it takes several days to make any changes at the domain level, it may make sense to use a local account, but not add the user to the CMS and add as an impersonation :)
