BIRT JDBCException "Unable to load the JDBC Driver class: com.mysql.jdbc.Driver" when upgrading from 2.6 to 3.7

I have several reports that are developed with BIRT 2.6 and some others that are developed with BIRT 3.7. What I did on my Tomcat server is that I created two repositories: - birt-viewer - birt-viewer3.7

I installed the MySQL MySQL file (mysql-connector-java-5.0.8-bin.jar) in birt-viewer3.7 / WEB-INF / lib /.

But I still have a mistake. I also tried putting it in birt-viewer3.7 / WEB-INF / platform / plugins /, but the errors remained the same.

First of all: can two versions of birt-viewer coexist?

If possible, how to do this to solve this driver problem?

Have you configured the driver in the report design itself? Open the report project, double-click the data source and click the "Manage drivers ..." button.
