The Android Market installation server is empty for installation from the market. Is this a mistake or normal behavior?

I created a custom broadcast receiver

It receives the link only when the link is opened using the Android application on the phone. When a user installs an application from a website, the referral is emtpy, but it is present in the market URL.

Can this be fixed?
