Local notifications that expire when the device is turned off are lost

If my application queues a local notification, but then the device turns off while the notification should be called, then when the device restarts, there is no indication that a notification has ever been sent.

The same thing happens with calendar alarms.

This does not seem to be the right behavior for me from the point of view of the user - if the notification was a reminder of the calendar for something very important, and I happened to reboot the moment it was started, then I lost this important reminder, even if my device turned off only within 3 seconds if the notification was caused by a fire within 3 seconds, which it lost forever.

Did I miss something?

I would say that this is by design: if you keep the device turned off for 1 month, you do not want it to display useless notifications for 1 month. In addition, iOS devices are always designed to work; if you need to be inaccessible, you simply turn on airplane mode, which will turn off all wireless / cellular communications, but you will still receive notifications.
