When was my computer the last time I slept? Window 7

I need the Windows service that I create to run overnight. So I changed my power settings and found that my computer never sleeps. Started the Windows service and went home. This morning, I found that my computer was asleep, and I was curious if someone would manually fall asleep after I left. Is there a log file or some way to find the last time my computer fell asleep? I am using Windows 7 operating system.

Have you consulted with Event Viewer? To start Event Viewer using the command line

  • Open a command prompt. To open the command prompt, click "Start", "All Programs", "Accessories", then "Command Prompt".
  • Enter eventvwr .

Information about scheduled / unplanned dreams and reboots should be found by expanding the tree view in the left plan to Event Viewer> Windows Logs> System.

Inside eventvwr you will see an entry in the system logs → "Kernel Power". Double-click to find out when the computer went into sleep mode.
