Is the new Gmail built into GWT?

I had a discussion with a colleague on this topic. He thought a new Gmail look was built with GWT. I can't seem to find a definitive answer. Does anyone know for sure?

Right-click the browser to view the source of the page (when the page displays your gmail inbox) it says no.

This page is http://code.google.com/closure/library/

says Google Closure Javascript is the foundation of many Google products, including gmail.

Gmail does not write to GWT or Java.

gmail is not written to gwt, but Google's inbox, which can replace gmail, uses gwt.
