Can I unpack the package somehow? I need to make sure that all packages inside the package are correctly signed ...

Dark.exe decompiles packages; use -x to extract the bits.

Run the installer with the -layout argument and it should download or extract (as necessary) the packages it contains into the directory in which the installer is installed. You can specify the target directory as the second argument if you want.

This has been tested with a package created with version 3.6.2520.0 . It is known to break into the current weekly release of wix36.exe .
