I want to be able to display iframe video files in the Facebook news feed and timeline.
I know that in the news feed / timeline, you can specify several og: video: type properties for different video formats.
eg. implementation such as Share HTML5 player on Facebook wall
As of April last year, I believe that we also do not need a whitelist, although some whitelisting for the text / html video text, which is usually not available, may be possible.
If we were just showing free video in an iframe, it would just be easy to capture the flash and mp4 components and include them in the Open Graph tags.
However, our player is a bit more involved in serving content based on login status, and this level of difficulty is likely to increase.
Complexity?

We have a rather flexible implementation of http://www.uqast.com/andy/video-seo?w=640&h=360&aplay=0&affid=0&links=2 Which can return a fairly clean embed code suitable for the timeline

We can also happily serve iframes from https, if necessary.
We also look at serving various types of HTML5 in an iframe ... videos / docs / audio etc
So, what procedure should you follow to be able to use text / html as a video type and have it whitelisted?
