How do I know which events are associated with HTML elements?

I would like to know more about jQuery, and I find one that I would like to do to find out which events are bound to elements. Is there a way to use debugger in IE or Firebug so that I can find out. I do not mean looking at the source code. What I would like to do is to see events in the same way as I can check CSS properties with firebug.

Try FireQuery for Firefox

When you check items in FireBug, it shows all events related to the item.

just do jQuery('#elem_id').data('events'); in firebug console , it will list all events bound in elements .

You can also see it in Opera Dragonfly, just inspect the item and go to the properties tab on the sidebar of the inspection:
