Where Windows error reporting creates a dump file

I just want to know where the WER writes the dump file? Also does this location apply to the OS?

The documentation for WER says that you can set a registry setting to control the dump location and dump type

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ Windows Error Reporting \ LocalDumps \ DumpFolder

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ Windows Error Reporting \ LocalDumps \ DumpType

The default value for DumpFolder is% LOCALAPPDATA% \ CrashDumps.
