I went through the jQuery forums and found nothing about it. Therefore, I was wondering if the jQuery framework is constantly improving (and to version 1.7.1 at the time of writing), then why is the jQuery site itself not using the latest version?
I expect that the answer may be something like “because it doesn’t need the last functions” or “if it doesn’t break, don’t fix it”, but I would think that they would defend their own latest work.
Can anyone shed some light on this? I feel that the real answer may be useful to other people with jQuery-based sites that are considering or are considering updating.
