How do I avoid the “This message was not sent” warning when sending email using the Google App Engine?

I have a GAE application for python that sends emails, for example, to, using the registered administrator address for the application as the "sender" address. When an email arrives from such an API call, an attached warning is shown here .

Am I doing something wrong? I believe that none of the three options mentioned in the "Learn more" link, I believe: the sender is a gmail address, so the solution "SPF and DKIM authentication" is not relevant, I do not send it to the mailing list, m not uses SMTP (I think, although maybe GAE ...).

Assuming you see this in production, probably because you claim to be from a gmail address but send through the App Engine. Use one of the addresses of your application as the sender ( foo@yourapp.appspotmail.com ), and it should work fine.

I think the best solution is to use Google’s SMTP servers ... This is the best way not to be considered a spammer.
