Can I programmatically play radio on Android?

I have s2 predefined application that allows me to listen to the radio. It does not use the Internet; instead, it uses the surrounding radio waves. Is there any way I can use this function to programmatically start a radio station and search for radio stations?

It seems you cannot, according to this post on googlegroup android .

I think the most you can do is launch a radio application with the appropriate intent; I think, however, that these intentions apply to the same vendor SDK (check this presentation from Archos, for example ).

So, I find it best to look for a similar Samsung api provider

AOSP for FM Radio lacks an API. Therefore, you cannot create a radio-enabled application. At the same time, SE offered its solution to support radio communications, but it is still not included in the main industry. You can read about it here .

At the same time, in some custom roms you can already find examples of how to play with the radio. For example, here is the application code that is included in Cyanogenmod. You can create and install this application on your phone and see if it works. If so, you can build your application based on this approach.
