Magento 1.6.1: What is options_container?

When I use the Magento product.info API to get information about a specific product, it always seems to give a field called " options_container " with the value container2 .

What is it?

Do not create the product in the GUI control panel.

And here are a few more fields that if someone could tell me about it, it would be great:

  • msrp_enabled
  • msrp_display_actual_price_type
  • MSRP

I am trying to create products through a call to the product.create API. Since I don’t know what these fields mean and they all have non-empty default values (which I seem to be unable to set in the GUI), I don’t know what will happen if I leave them blank if creating the product through a call to product.create API - or what value should I use for them ... Thanks!

In the administrator, read Catalog> Attributes> Attribute Management, you should see these attributes.

options_container is the layout section where product options can be displayed. It completely depends on the theme used, but usually "container1" is above the page, next to the price. "container2" is further below the description and has more horizontal space for use.

msrp - " Manufacturer 's Recommended Retail Price". I do not know how it is used anywhere, but again, individual topics can display it on the interface as they see fit.

options_container: GUI dashboard β†’ product data page-> Design tab β†’ Show Product Settings in (Magento CE 1.9.1)

Values are specified as described in clockworkgeek. In the new edition, they are called "Column Info Info" and "Block After Info Column"

msrp - Manufacturer Recommended retail price

msrp_enabled decides whether the price will be hidden, as in "Click to display the price"

msrp_display_actual_price_type determines how the price will be displayed msrp_enabled, "In basket", "Before order confirmation" or "On gesture"

see here and CTRL-F look for field names.
