Excel: calculating only a column

Question

How can I select a column from a cell in Excel and then only calculate this column? I only know SHIFT + F9, which calculates the entire sheet, and F9, which calculates the entire book.

I don’t think you can only do this with standard Excel (does anyone have any good advice?).

You can create a simple macro that does this for you:

Sub Recalc() Selection.Calculate End Sub 

And assign him a shortcut. This will recount only the choice.
