Hello World Tutorial - Using the debugging perspective

I was just starting to study textbooks, but it seemed to have some problems with the following part:

Run> Debug History> Hello Android from the menu to enter debug mode. Your application will restart in the emulator, but this time it will be suspended when it reaches your breakpoint. Then you can execute the code in Eclipse Debug Perspective, just like any other application. "

when I follow these instructions, I see a list of such warnings ...

[2010-11-24 15:39:43 - ddms] Unable to bind local 8617 to debugger

and finally this ...

[2010-11-24 16:08:25 - HelloAndroidWeb] Startup error: Failed to connect to the remote virtual machine. Connection rejected.

I have never used a debugger before, but while reading tutorail, I expect a new window to open (Debug perspective), but it is not. I have something wrong during installation / setup.

thanks

Does the application work on an emulator or connected device? If the device has USB Debugging mode must be enabled through the setup menu. If the emulator may need to restart it to reconnect the debugger (ADB).

In the "Devices" panel, do you see a list of active processes? Can you select your application and click the "Debug selection" icon?
